A Payoneer withdrawal pending for a few hours is normal. Payoneer says most withdrawals reach your bank the same day and some take up to 2 business days. Weekends, bank holidays and extra checks add time. If nothing has arrived after 5 business days, download the Confirmation of Transfer, show it to your bank, and then contact Payoneer.
Count business days. A withdrawal you make on Friday night usually moves on Monday, because banks don't process transfers on weekends or public holidays, Payoneer's own guide on delays says.
That waiting adds up across a lot of money. Pakistani freelancers earned a record $1.76 billion in FY26, according to State Bank data reported by Profit on 21 July 2026, and much of it passes through Payoneer on the way to a local bank.
The numbers from Payoneer's help centre, checked on 4 November 2026:
- Same day for most withdrawals, after the confirmation email.
- Up to 2 business days for some.
- 5 business days is when Payoneer tells you to start checking.
- Up to 14 business days for the money to come back if your bank details were wrong.

How long does a Payoneer withdrawal take to reach a Pakistani bank?
Payoneer says most withdrawals land in your bank the same day, once you get the confirmation email, and some take up to 2 business days. Its guide on delays puts a normal transfer at one or two days, and three to five days when a slower bank is involved. Withdrawing through the HBL or Meezan app is real time.

Checked on each provider's own page on 4 November 2026. Fees and times change, so check before you withdraw.
Two things the table can't show. Fiverr and Upwork withdrawals to Payoneer are only the first leg: the money still has to go from Payoneer to your bank, so add that time on top. And a brand new withdrawal method on either platform needs time to switch on: three days on Upwork, 24 hours on Fiverr.
Why is my Payoneer withdrawal still pending?
Usually one of four reasons: it's a weekend or a bank holiday, Payoneer or your bank is running an extra check, your bank details are wrong, or your bank is slow to credit it. Payoneer's delay guide lists all four. Most clear on their own within 2 business days. Wrong details are the one you have to fix yourself.
What each one looks like in practice:
- Weekend or holiday. Banks don't process transfers then. A withdrawal made on Saturday morning starts moving on Monday. Pakistan's next public holiday is Monday 9 November 2026, for Iqbal Day.
- Extra checks. Payoneer or your bank may need to verify the payment, or a document request may be waiting on you. Check your email and Payoneer's Verification Center.
- Wrong bank details. One wrong digit in the account number and your bank rejects the transfer. The money then goes back to Payoneer.
- Slow crediting. Payoneer can show the transfer as sent while your bank still hasn't posted it to your account.

What do the Payoneer withdrawal statuses mean?
A withdrawal you've started but that hasn't left your balance yet sits under Upcoming transactions. Once Payoneer approves it, an estimated deposit date appears on the transaction. Completed means Payoneer has sent the money to your bank. If it says Completed and the money isn't there, the delay is on your bank's side.
You can see this on the Transactions page. Filter by type and choose Withdrawal to bank, then open the withdrawal:
- Started, not yet sent. It shows under Upcoming transactions, which Payoneer describes as "initiated but have not yet affected your balance."
- Approved. An estimated deposit date appears. Payoneer's confirmation email gives a more exact time.
- Completed. Payoneer has sent it. The fee also appears on the transaction at this point.
Once it's processed, you can't cancel it. Payoneer's withdrawal FAQ says a processed withdrawal "cannot be canceled," so double-check the bank account before you confirm.
What should I do if my Payoneer withdrawal hasn't arrived after 5 days?
Go to your bank first, not Payoneer. Open the withdrawal in Payoneer, download the Confirmation of Transfer, and give it to your bank so they can trace the payment. If your bank can't find it and the details on the confirmation are correct, contact Payoneer with the withdrawal ID, date and amount.
Step by step:
- Check the bank details. In Payoneer, open Manage, then Your bank accounts. Compare the account number and account title with your bank app.
- Download the Confirmation of Transfer. Open the withdrawal, tap the document icon, then Get Confirmation.
- Visit or call your bank. Share the confirmation. Ask them to check for an incoming credit on that date and amount.
- Contact Payoneer if the bank can't find it. Give the withdrawal ID, date and amount, and say your bank has already checked.
- If the details were wrong, wait for the return. Payoneer says the bank rejects the transfer and the money comes back to your Payoneer balance, which can take up to 14 business days. You get an email when it lands.
Is there a faster way to withdraw from Payoneer in Pakistan?
Yes. If you bank with HBL or Meezan Bank, link Payoneer inside your bank's app and withdraw there. Payoneer says HBL withdrawals land "within seconds" and work 24/7, and Meezan Bank offers real-time withdrawals in its app since March 2025. Each Meezan withdrawal also issues an electronic PRC.
How to use it:
- HBL. Payoneer and HBL partnered in June 2022. Open the HBL app, link your Payoneer account and withdraw. Payoneer's page says you can do this "at any time."
- Meezan Bank. Launched in March 2025, reported by ProPakistani. Link Payoneer in the Meezan app; your details are prefilled and you confirm by SMS.
ProPakistani reports the e-PRC is needed for tax filing and export rebates, so keep a copy of each one.
How to stop waiting on withdrawals
- Withdraw on weekdays, early. Upwork processes local bank requests made after 12:00 noon UTC (5 pm in Pakistan) on the next business day.
- Never withdraw just before a holiday if you need the money that week.
- Use one name everywhere. Your bank account title, Payoneer, Fiverr and Upwork should all match your CNIC.
- Test a new bank account with a small amount before you send a big one.
